Call to order 4:00 pm.
Motion to accept the minutes from December 2nd – Passed
Presidents Report – D. Cicarella – End of the year Budget Report for 2014 – motion to accept – 2nd and passed. Proposed budget for 2015 – motion to accept – 2nd and passed.
Committee Reports – Finance – P. Delucia – Requests from Farnam Neighborhood House $250 – Passed. Finance committee acknowledged Dave for his continued efforts to keep the budget balanced each and every year. An article will be written in the Advance explaining where the money is allocate4d.
Grievance – T. Burns – Truman class size overages have been settled. Update on two termination hearings.
Old Business – NO teacher will have a plan of improvement if they are rated higher than a 3.
Charter update – NHFT continues to push for no new Charter schools.
Possible partnership on Residency Program
Change in Admissions policies
Change in transfer policies
Restorative Practice Partnership
Express Script should be charging one co-pay and not two.
New Business – Union is looking into all the testing that is taking place, especially at the elementary levels.
Mayor has asked all unions to look into collective insurance.
Dave explained to Ex. Board about the charter school vote cast by Erin Benham – Meriden teacher union president who is newly appointed to the State BOE. The vote was an add-on, not an agenda item. Being her first vote it was cast by mistake. She has publicly apologized. AFT stands firm on its Charter school position.
