· Grienvance – T. Burns – Career grievance has been completed and awaiting decision from arbitrator. Barnard – assignment change and grievance is still pending. Beecher-Steward/has not been scheduled to date.
· Reform – D.Low – State report – TEVAL process and content has been approved for New Haven again.
· Survey – Delucia/Cicarella – The NHFT has agreed not to participate further with the city wide committee. Again there is disagreement with the way results will be shared across the district.
New Business – Letter from Reginald Augustine was read aloud thanking all for the support of the teachers at Barnard. There are still issues that the NHFT will continue to address.
Security – NHFT will check to see if all buildings have security officers. Peter Wilson and/or Dave Cicarella will attend city-wide meetings to monitor.
Cameras that monitor open areas such as the gym, library, and media center are allowed. They are mostly for after school and during public usage. They are on a 48 hour loop and are taped over. They cannot be used for evaluation and cannot record during SBAC testing.
Calendars for 2016 school year – Revised calendars have been sent to all schools. Dave has sent out a letter to all teachers addressing the concerns over changes to Feb. break and pay dates.
Union continues to monitor budget discussions and proposals with the help of our members. NHFT has also met to explain teacher transfer language with Central office.
Meeting adjourned 5:25 pm.
